All Boatright Enterprises crossties are...

...treated by the empty cell method, with a creosote-coal tar solution in accordance with AWPA Standard P-2.

...graded to meet or exceed AREA and RTA specifications.

6" x 8" x 8'6" - GRADE 3
7" x 8" x 8'6" - GRADE 4
7" x 9" x 8'6" - GRADE 5

GRADE 4 and GRADE 5 ties are also sold as MAINLINE ties, consisting of a mix of 80% GRADE 5 and 20% GRADE 4.

Also available are 6" and 7" INDUSTRIAL GRADE ties, primarily used for side track, low-speed applications when economy is a consideration.

Due to the very high supply and demand on the creosote treated timber market, we ask that you do as much pre-planning as possible and contact us with your crosstie and/or bridge material needs at least 30-45 days from the time you will need them (sometimes 60 days depending on the size of the materials and quantities). We do take into consideration emergency projects and other issues that may occur and we are prepared to handle emergency and urgent situations. We want the opportunity to serve all of our customers, as best we can, and in order to do that we need as much information on your upcoming project as possible, along with time to procure the wood (especially when you are ordering large timbers for bridge projects).  We promise to deliver to you the best in customer service and excellent quality creosote treated timbers.
